Website operation and security: technical information may be processed where necessary to operate, protect and secure the website, based on legitimate interests in maintaining a secure and functional website.

Newsletter and artist updates: subscription data is processed on the basis of your consent.

Email engagement measurement: emails may contain tracking technologies used to measure email openings and link interactions. This information is processed on the basis of your consent to produce engagement statistics and improve future email communications.

Audience measurement: Google Analytics is used with your consent for non-essential audience measurement technologies.

4. Contact form and Cloudflare Turnstile

When you use the contact form, the information you provide is used only to receive, review and respond to your enquiry. Sending a message does not subscribe you to marketing communications.

Cloudflare Turnstile is used on the contact form to help protect the website against spam, bots and automated abuse. Turnstile may process technical signals necessary to distinguish legitimate visitors from automated traffic. It is used for security purposes and does not analyse the content of your message.

5. Newsletter and email updates

If you choose to subscribe to Sylvermay email updates, your email address and subscription information are used for the purpose of sending music releases, Continuum episodes, tour dates and related artist updates.

Emails may include engagement measurement through the newsletter and CRM system, such as email opens and link clicks.

This information is used only to produce delivery and engagement statistics, understand the performance of email communications and improve future Sylvermay updates. It is not sold, used for advertising on third-party websites or used to track subscribers across unrelated websites.

Email engagement measurement is based on the consent collected when you subscribe and is separate from your website cookie preferences.

You can withdraw your consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link included in every marketing email or by contacting privacy@sylvermay.com. Unsubscribing stops future marketing emails and any associated engagement measurement. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing carried out before your withdrawal.

6. Cookies and audience measurement

This website uses essential technologies required for its operation, security and the storage of cookie preferences.

Google Analytics is used to understand how visitors interact with the website and to measure website traffic. Non-essential Google storage is disabled by default and is only enabled after you select Accept through the cookie banner. If you select Refuse, it remains disabled.

Google Consent Mode is used to communicate your consent choices to Google. When Analytics consent is refused, Google Analytics does not read or write its non-essential analytics cookies. Limited cookieless measurement signals may nevertheless be transmitted to Google for measurement and modelling purposes.

Contact enquiries are retained for the period reasonably necessary to respond to and manage the communication.

Newsletter subscription data is retained while your subscription remains active. Limited information may be retained after unsubscribing where necessary to respect your opt-out request, maintain relevant consent records or meet applicable legal obligations.

Email engagement data is retained for as long as reasonably necessary to measure campaign performance and manage the mailing list, taking into account the retention settings and practices of the newsletter and CRM services used. Aggregated statistics that no longer identify individual subscribers may be retained for longer.

Google Analytics is currently configured to retain event data for 2 months and user data for 14 months. These retention settings do not affect standard aggregated Analytics reports.

Technical and security information may be retained for the period necessary to detect, investigate and resolve security incidents and according to the retention arrangements of the relevant service provider.

10. Your rights

Under the GDPR, and subject to the conditions applicable to each right, you may request access to your personal data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability or object to processing based on legitimate interests.

You also have the right to object at any time to the use of your personal data for direct marketing.
